We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial construction team. You will be working for a UK Tier 1 contractor upon whom we provide QS, Estimating, Project Management and Tendering support.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility across the full project lifecycle covering estimating, cost management, and contract administration. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £100k to £5m, including new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs, typically under NEC or JCT contracts. Regular travel across England and Wales is essential, as you will play an active part in project meetings, site visits, and progress reviews.

You must have experience in a Contractor role and be able to carry out a dual role as estimator & QS. We are looking for someone who truly understands construction from the ground up - not just how to price projects, but how to build them.

We are a specialist construction consultancy working exclusively on the contracting side of the industry. We were established in 2018 and have year-on-year growth which looks to continue, so a really good opportunity for someone to join and progress.

  • Administer NEC and JCT contracts to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, suppliers, site teams, and project managers.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier packages.
  • Attend site meetings and project reviews as required.
  • Deliver accurate financial reports and cost forecasts.
  • A construction-focused mindset with a practical understanding of how projects are delivered.

Qualifications:

  • HNC, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a combined Estimator / Quantity Surveyor role within commercial construction.
  • Previous experience with a Tier 1 contractor is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
  • DBS clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to self-price works is preferred.
