Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator/CNC Turner & Sliding Head located in Cupar, Fife. The role involves:
- Setting up and operating CNC milling machines and lathes
- Programming and editing CNC machines
- Performing quality checks and inspections
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Maintaining equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Adhering to safety protocols
- Troubleshooting production issues as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC milling and turning, including the ability to set up and operate machines
- Experience in programming and editing CNC machines using modern CAD/CAM software
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality control processes
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining equipment
- Prior experience in the aerospace, medical, or precision engineering industries is a plus
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in CNC machining or engineering fields are advantageous
- Must be experienced in producing parts to 0.005 tolerances.
