Our client, a reputable civil infrastructure engineering consultancy, is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a few years’ experience who enjoys turning technical information into clear, accurate drawings.
The Role:
You’ll be producing structural drawings across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure schemes. Working closely with engineers and project leads, you’ll take technical details, sketches, and calculations to create high-quality drawings ready for design approval and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare structural CAD drawings using AutoCAD (and/or Revit if applicable).
Translate engineers’ sketches and mark-ups into accurate technical drawings.
Ensure all drawings meet company and industry standards.
Liaise with engineers, architects, and other team members to clarify design requirements.
Maintain drawing files and document control.
About You:
A few years’ experience as a Structural or Civil CAD Technician.
Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience beneficial but not essential).
Able to interpret engineering sketches and turn them into accurate drawings.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
