About the Role:
Our client, a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team. The role will initially be based in South Lanarkshire, with the potential for travel across Scotland depending on project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering, particularly on major infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on rail works.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting Out: Accurately carry out setting out duties to ensure construction works meet project specifications.

Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold high standards of health and safety on site, strictly following all relevant regulations.

Project Coordination: Work closely with management, site personnel, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth running of daily site operations.

Quality Assurance: Oversee and maintain quality assurance procedures, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and documentation.

Plan Review: Verify plans, technical drawings, and measurements to ensure all calculations are correct.

Team Support: Assist the Project Manager and Site Agent with engineering tasks as required.

Client Liaison: Serve as a point of contact between the client and project team, ensuring effective communication and project progress.

Essential Requirements:

Education: Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related subject.

Experience: Proven experience as a Site Engineer with a Civil Engineering Contractor.

Certifications: Must hold a valid CSCS card.

Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence is required.
