About the Role
Our client, a leading global engineering firm renowned for designing and delivering water sector projects, is expanding its team and seeking an experienced Site Agent to join them in Dumfries.
Specialising in the water and energy sectors, the company has secured a number of significant project wins and has ambitious growth plans. They deliver both large-scale civil engineering projects and smaller, specialist works. You will be part of a dedicated team working on water projects within a wider framework. With the client well positioned to secure future public sector contracts, previous experience working on Scottish Water projects would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations and supervise operatives and subcontractors to ensure high-quality delivery.
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to project team members.
Foster positive working relationships both on-site and off-site.
Optimise site logistics to maximise efficiency.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
Manage project delays effectively and oversee accurate setting out.
Monitor budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Site Agent with a track record of delivering water projects.
Strong background in civil engineering.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety policies.
Excellent communication and liaison skills.
Valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
Full UK driving licence.
Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
Desirable qualifications:
Roads and Street Works certificate.
First Aid qualification.
