As a Senior Superintendent, you will be responsible for the management of all field and site-specific construction activities, including the company Production System, project design, budget, schedule, performance, subtrades, and profitability of commercial construction projects. Communication is important to you and you are comfortable regularly communicating with the project manager and the client to stay ahead of all changes and requirements.
You will also be responsible for providing direction and leading and mentoring staff in the field. You are familiar with the tools and equipment needed to get the job done right and inspecting them and the equipment you have on site regularly comes second nature to you.
- You will be used to continuously monitoring project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and losses.
- Ensure third party construction monitoring/testing is being conducted in accordance with contract specifications.
- Identify the training needs of field staff is a priority to you and you are comfortable assisting with training where qualified, and support apprenticeship programs as required.
- Safety is a priority to you and you can steward the safety of all personnel on the job site and immediately address risks as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Ten or more years experience in commercial construction for a large general contractor.
- Ten or more years experience as a superintendent for a large general contractor.
- Experience with end to end construction projects.
- Health & Safety Awareness (5 Steps) training required.
The salary range on offer for this role will be up to C$168,000 + Bonuses + Share options + Benefits + Relocation Assistance/Allowance.
To qualify for this fantastic opportunity, the successful candidate must have previous experience of delivering £10-£30m projects from start to finish, can demonstrate consistent employment and meet the visa requirements to be able to live and work in Canada – assistance and costs of visas will be met by the company and full advice and guidance will be offered.
