Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Beauly, with a willingness to travel as required Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Company Overview: Our client, a leading specialist in high voltage (HV) cabling with over a decade of excellence in the industry, is expanding their team. Committed to safety and innovation, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their continued growth. Operating across the UK and Europe, this role will involve exciting projects across the North of England and Scotland, with the flexibility to travel. Your expertise will be crucial to the success of these projects, and they are keen to welcome a skilled professional to their team. Role Details: This role offers hybrid working, with an initial requirement to spend at least three days per week on site in Beauly and two days working from home. You may also be required to work at various sites across Scotland and the UK, depending on business needs. Key Responsibilities: Manage the commercial aspects of power sector projects, ensuring cost control and adherence to budgets. Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate cost forecasts, financial reports, and procurement strategies. Conduct detailed cost analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies. Administer contracts and manage subcontractor relationships. Provide expert advice on contractual matters, including dispute resolution and risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering or power industry. Experience working with high voltage cabling is desirable. Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
