An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a well-established construction main contractor. This is a key role on a significant development, offering long-term stability and the chance to work with a collaborative and forward-thinking project team.
About the Role:
As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of site logistics to ensure the smooth and safe movement of people, materials, and equipment. You ll play a crucial role in supporting the site management team to ensure project milestones are met while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement site logistics plans in line with project requirements
- Coordinate deliveries and manage vehicle movement on and around site
- Oversee waste management, site access, hoarding, security, and welfare facilities
- Manage and supervise logistics operatives and subcontractors
- Collaborate with site and project teams to maintain efficient material distribution
- Monitor and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and procedures
- Work proactively to resolve logistical challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to works
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar logistics/site coordination role within a construction environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Previous experience using Logistics Management software tools
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and health & safety legislation
- SMSTS and CSCS card
- Full UK Driving License
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to work well under pressure
