Are you a skilled groundworks Estimator who thrives on solving the complex 1% of challenges that make a project stand out? A robust estimating team is seeking an experienced professional who can confidently work independently, using Conquest software to deliver precise and timely cost estimates. This role reports directly to the Head of Estimating and includes collaboration with trainees, providing an exciting environment to share expertise. What You’ll Do: Lead the preparation of detailed groundworks estimates using a largely pre-built pricing database. Tackle the unique and technical challenges that require real-time problem solving and engineering insight. Work closely with the Head of Estimating to ensure accurate, competitive pricing across residential, commercial, and education projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to trainee estimators within the team. Independently manage your workload with minimal training required. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in groundworks estimation, preferably with strong proficiency in Conquest software. A technical understanding of engineering principles behind the pricing, not just running software. Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously with limited oversight. An openness to candidates transitioning from strong engineering roles eager to develop estimating expertise (training on Conquest available). Flexibility: Full-time office-based preferred, but part-time or freelance with some flexible arrangements will be considered. What’s On Offer: Competitive salary, open to discussion based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package including car/car allowance, private health insurance, pension, and bonus scheme. Engage in varied projects with an annual turnover around £25 million, spanning multiple sectors. Join a supportive team driven by efficiency and quality, allowed to manage your own workload/priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for estimators ready to take ownership of their work in a dynamic construction environment. If you are a confident, technically-minded estimator seeking a pivotal role, get in touch today.
