Our client is a leading construction and facilities management contractor with an established reputation for delivering high-quality building maintenance, refurbishment and asset improvement projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio across the Tayside region, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of planned and reactive works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to join a well-established business, taking responsibility for multiple projects and client relationships across Dundee and the wider Tayside area.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the successful delivery of construction, maintenance and refurbishment projects across Tayside.
  • Lead project planning, programming and resource allocation activities.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely and in compliance with all relevant legislation, company procedures and client requirements.
  • Monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance in collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce project reports and attend regular client and progress meetings.
  • Oversee project completion, snagging and successful handover.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within construction, facilities management, refurbishment or building maintenance environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, contract administration and programme management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Knowledge of drainage investigations, drainage defect remediation or associated civil works would be beneficial.
  • SMSTS and CSCS certification.
