Contract Scotland are currently working on behalf of a well-established and well-respected main contractor to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to join their growing team in Central Scotland. This is a great opportunity for a construction quality professional who has previously worked for another main contractor and is looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors including residential, health, leisure, commercial, industrial, and more. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across live construction projects and wider business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing the company's Quality Management System
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and quality audits
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company procedures
  • Working closely with operational and project teams to drive quality performance
  • Supporting project teams with inspections, QA documentation, and compliance processes
  • Identifying non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
  • Assisting with external audits and accreditation requirements
  • Promoting continuous improvement and best practice across the business

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Manager role within the construction industry
  • A background working for a recognised main contractor
  • Strong understanding of construction quality assurance procedures and standards
  • Experience managing or supporting ISO 9001 systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site and management teams
