I’m working with a well-established residential developer that delivers high-quality, design-led housing through long-term partnerships across the Central Belt. This is a role suited to someone who enjoys being properly involved in a project from start to finish, not just managing numbers from a distance. You’ll have autonomy, trust, and the backing of a commercial structure that values consistency, relationships and doing things the right way.
The role:
- Commercial management of residential projects from pre-contract through to final account
- Cost control, procurement and subcontractor management
- Preparation and agreement of valuations, variations and final accounts
- Working closely with site, design and client teams to ensure commercial performance
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
What they’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential construction
- Strong understanding of cost control and subcontractor procurement
- Comfortable working in a partnership or framework-style environment
- Commercially astute, but pragmatic and relationship-focused
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)
Why this one’s worth a look:
- Stable, long-term workload rather than boom-and-bust projects
- A business that values relationships, not just margins
- Supportive commercial leadership and realistic workloads
- Competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits
If you’re a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you’re trusted to do your job properly and be part of a team that works collaboratively rather than combatively, this could be a very good fit.
