We’re working exclusively with a small but growing team based just outside Edinburgh, who are looking to bring on board an Assistant Civil Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate, or someone with up to a couple of years’ site or consultancy experience, who is keen to take the next step in their career.

You’ll be joining a supportive team led by experienced managers with strong consultancy backgrounds. With a busy project pipeline and recent growth, they’re looking for someone who can get involved in a wide range of tasks – making this an excellent chance to develop your skills in both design and project administration.
The role:
CAD experience is key but there is plenty of variety day-to-day. Typical responsibilities include:
Producing legal plans, land sale documents, and constraint drawings
Supporting planning processes (planning checks, planning constraints)
Preparing and managing reports (ecology, vendor packages, contract scopes, BoQs)
Assisting with design work and CAD production
Supporting senior engineers across a range of projects
What they’re looking for:
Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (preferred, but not essential)
Some experience in design, site, or consultancy would be beneficial – but graduates are welcome
Strong CAD/design ability
A valid driving licence (essential)
A motivated, proactive individual who wants to learn and grow within a supportive team
The package:
With a salary between £30,000 - £35,000 with flexibility depending on experience
Potential performance bonus
