Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Sub Agent to support the delivery of infrastructure and energy projects across Scotland. This is a hands-on, site-based role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys coordinating operational activities to ensure projects run smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Role Overview
As Sub Agent, you will work closely with the Site Agent to manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is executed efficiently and in line with project programmes. You will contribute to planning, risk management, and reporting while maintaining strong communication with project teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain awareness of programme targets and drive site activities to meet key deadlines
- Manage site operations effectively, ensuring safe and efficient work practices
- Attend and contribute to pre-start and progress meetings on site
- Prepare and review site documentation, including site plans, risk assessments, and method statements
- Implement cost control and programming measures to support project delivery
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems
- Monitor and report progress, ensuring alignment with project timelines and standards
- Produce detailed reports to track contractual milestones and liaise with clients
Requirements
- Minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in civil engineering project delivery
- Proficient in setting out and related technical practices
- Experience working with a principal contractor
- Valid SMSTS and First Aid certifications
- Full UK driving licence
