This role would suit someone who is proactive, organised, confident communicating with suppliers and site teams, and comfortable picking up the phone to chase information and keep processes moving.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the procurement of materials and suppliers across ongoing construction projects
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and comparing supplier quotations
  • Raising purchase orders and maintaining procurement records
  • Liaising with suppliers, site teams, and internal departments
  • Chasing deliveries, resolving supply issues, and ensuring timelines are met
  • Supporting the wider commercial and procurement team with day-to-day activities
  • Assisting in maintaining efficient procurement processes across the business
  • Attending meetings and occasional site visits where required

Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach
  • Comfortable speaking with suppliers and chasing information where required
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Commercial awareness and interest in the construction sector
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

Previous experience within construction, purchasing, merchanting, internal sales, or a commercial office environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right individual.
