Contract Scotland are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in the Tayside area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to take ownership of high-quality projects from inception through to completion.
About the role
As Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role on site, working closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to ensure accurate financial reporting and commercial awareness throughout the project lifecycle. You will support the development of the main works programme and ensure no works commence on site until all health & safety requirements and the relevant Construction Phase Plan are in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing method statements, risk assessments, and supporting the overall safety plan in line with CDM Regulations as Principal Contractor
- Providing strong leadership, direction, and support to all site employees
- Managing labour resources and maintaining high levels of productivity across site operations
- Coordinating and expediting the release of design information and materials from the design team
- Ensuring full compliance with company Quality Procedures and Management Systems
- Effectively managing all subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Monitoring workmanship and quality to ensure a defect-free handover
What we need from you
You will ideally be qualified to degree level in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or hold a relevant trade background within the construction industry. You should bring:
- Demonstrable leadership and management experience within construction or housebuilding
- Proven ability to deliver projects from inception through to completion
- Strong understanding and commitment to Health & Safety best practice
- A quality-driven mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence in managing teams, subcontractors, and multiple project stakeholders
