We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager / Site Agent to join a major infrastructure project based West of Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor on a long-term programme of works involving reinforced concrete structures, including multiple bridge structures. The client is open to considering candidates on a temporary, temp-to-permanent or permanent basis, with an immediate start available.

The Role:

  • You will take responsibility for managing key structures packages on site, reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, and leading site teams including Engineers and Foremen.
  • Duties will include:
  • Managing reinforced concrete structures works
  • Overseeing the design coordination process
  • Programming and short-term planning
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Commercial awareness across packages and subcontractors
  • Managing site teams and driving project delivery
  • Liaising with clients, design teams and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Strong civil engineering / structures background
  • Reinforced concrete experience is essential
  • Bridge experience advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Site Agent on infrastructure projects
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid required
