Working within a specialist Wastewater Capital Projects team, you'll play a key role in delivering large-scale infrastructure programmes that improve environmental performance and strengthen critical water assets. You'll be trusted to manage projects from site, leading construction teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring every stage of delivery meets quality, safety, programme and commercial objectives. This is a varied leadership role where you'll work closely with project teams while making a real difference to the communities your projects serve. What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing the safe and successful delivery of wastewater, water infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
  • Leading site teams across multiple workstreams and ensuring projects are delivered on programme.
  • Promoting a positive culture of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) compliance through visible leadership.
  • Planning labour, plant and materials in line with construction programmes.
  • Managing subcontractors and monitoring site performance.
  • Supporting commercial performance through effective cost control and Early Warning processes.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery.
  • Coordinating highway possessions, private land access and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with local communities, clients and project teams.
  • Reporting progress and performance to the Project Manager.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver successful project outcomes. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience managing wastewater, water infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Previous leadership experience within the construction industry.
  • A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and quality management.
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing project costs and construction programmes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
