About the Role: We are hiring on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor looking for a Site Manager to join their Digital Infrastructure team. You will manage security projects valued between £1m-£8m, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This hands-on role involves site management across Scotland and northern England, working within a regional team and reporting to the Project Manager.
We are looking for Site Managers with a Civils / Rail background to work on projects throughout Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee on-site project delivery, ensuring compliance with approved standards.
- Coordinate with clients, designers, and subcontractors while reporting to the Project Manager.
- Supervise subcontractors to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Keep accurate site records while ensuring security and confidentiality.
- Manage work permits and promote a strong health and safety culture.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Implement and follow business management systems.
About You:
- Proven experience in civil engineering and construction.
- Strong understanding of security standards.
- Willing to obtain SC-level security clearance (mandatory).
- Experience on MOD projects (preferred but not essential).
- Familiarity with subcontractor management in:
- Site surveys and investigations
- Perimeter fencing
- Drainage and ducting installation
- Reinforced concrete works
- Excavation and safe digging
- Ground investigations
- Security management solutions
