The Senior Estimator is responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates for projects – including the job scope and the complete, detailed costing of resources, equipment and materials – to achieve an acceptable margin while providing the best opportunity to secure the business. The Senior Estimator estimates conceptual design-build, P3, lump sum and construction management projects. This individual's accuracy is critical to the profitability of the business, as underestimations may cause significant financial losses and overestimations may result in an inability to win bids.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering or an appropriate field.
  • Ten or more years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
  • AutoCAD experience is an asset.
  • Able to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints and as-builds.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to develop material and labour estimates.
  • Able to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.

The salary range on offer for this role will be C$120-$150,000 (£62k-£81k) + Bonuses + Share options + Benefits.

To qualify for this fantastic opportunity, the successful candidate must have previous experience of delivering £10-£30m projects from start to finish, can demonstrate consistent employment and meet the visa requirements to be able to live and work in Canada – assistance and costs of visas will be met by the company and full advice and guidance will be offered.
