Contract Scotland are working with a reputable and multifaceted building contractor to source an experienced Scaffolding Estimator / Business Development Manager. Family run and well established, they operate in a range of sectors including industrial, residential, retail, commercial and more. They have a specialist Scaffolding Division which services the whole of Scotland, providing technical access solutions to the construction and civil engineering industries.

They are looking for someone from a strong scaffolding background to take on a combined Estimator and Business Development role. You will have a proven track record in scaffolding estimating and be confident and experienced in generating new business with new clients while maintaining relationships with existing and repeat customers.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Preparation of cost estimates.
  • Production of high-quality and cost-effective tenders.
  • Creating material schedules to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
  • Attending meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Establishing the requirements of clients and offering recommendations/solutions.
  • Identifying potential leads and converting them into contracts.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling presentations to clients.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience within the scaffolding in an estimating or business development role.
  • In-depth knowledge of various scaffolding systems and their applications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Full driving licence.
