We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a major transmission infrastructure project in the Orkney Islands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile project, working alongside an established delivery team on a significant programme of civil engineering and infrastructure works.

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient delivery of works on site, ensuring engineering standards, quality requirements and project programme objectives are achieved:

  • Setting out and surveying works
  • Managing quality assurance documentation and inspections
  • Supporting construction teams with technical engineering input
  • Monitoring progress against programme requirements
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors and client representatives
  • Assisting with planning and coordination of daily site activities

Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects:

  • Competent setting out and survey skills using modern surveying equipment
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and site documentation
  • Experience working alongside subcontractors and construction teams
  • Ability to work on a rotational basis in a remote project environment
