Contract Scotland are working with a well-established main contractor as they look to strengthen their commercial team in the North of Scotland with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor. Key responsibilities:
  • Taking full commercial lead on your assigned project.
  • Managing cost control, procurement, valuations and reporting.

  • Building strong relationships with clients, supply chain and internal colleagues.
  • Overseeing variations, forecasting and final accounts.
  • Ensuring commercial governance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Project QS or Senior QS within main contracting.
  • Ability to operate as commercial lead on a project.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and procurement.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work autonomously.
  • A proactive, organised approach and strong attention to detail.
