We're currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a substation infrastructure project.
This is an excellent short-term opportunity for an engineer who can hit the ground running, with an immediate requirement and work expected to run for approximately 4-5 weeks.
The Project
You'll be working on the construction of a new platform at a substation site, supporting the delivery team with setting out and day-to-day engineering duties.
The site is in a remote location, so accommodation will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for engineers from across Scotland and further afield.
Responsibilities
- Setting out works on site
- Interpreting drawings and specifications
- Supporting site management teams
- Ensuring works are delivered to the required tolerances
- Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
- Assisting with quality assurance as required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
- Strong setting-out experience
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with site teams
- Experience using GPS and robotic total stations
