Job Title: Contracts Manager
Location: Aberdeen

Our client is a well-established construction company with divisions covering civil engineering, housing, and general construction across the North of Scotland. They deliver projects in utilities, infrastructure, earthworks, and groundworks, and are now looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team permanently in Aberdeen.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee projects to ensure they are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to a high standard. You will make sure all work complies with legislation, client specifications, and company policies, while protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of staff and subcontractors. You will also ensure projects remain profitable and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage and deliver projects in line with designs and specifications.
- Act as the main point of contact between the company and the client.
- Attend design, review, and progress meetings.
- Carry out site audits and address findings.
- Ensure staff under your supervision are fully competent for their roles.
- Assess and agree client design changes and variations.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, health & safety, and environmental policies.
- Organise labour, plant, and materials across projects.
- Work with other Contracts Managers to share resources effectively.
- Deliver toolbox talks and attend team briefings.
- Support emergency plans, pollution prevention, and incident response.

Background / Experience Required

- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (minimum).
- Previous site management experience (essential).
- Strong knowledge of health & safety policies.
- Methodical and organised approach to work.
- Understanding of contracting principles.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with different forms of contract and standard methods of measurement.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
- CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid (essential).
- NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
