A leading independent consultancy is seeking an ambitious Civil Design Engineer to join its successful Edinburgh team. The role involves delivering infrastructure design and consultancy services for key developer clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day project delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Produce technical reports, drainage strategies, schematic designs, masterplans, and specifications.
- Support detailed design of infrastructure for public and private sector developments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Ideally progressing towards chartership.
- 5+ yearsβ UK consultancy experience.
- Strong communicator with proven project and team management skills.
- Proactive with a positive attitude.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modelling (ideally PDS).
- Skilled in drainage software (MicroDrainage and/or Causeway Flow).
- Sound knowledge of SuDS, sewerage standards, and approvals process (e.g., RCCs, Scottish Water).
