Contract Personnel is looking for a motivated and hands-on Nursery Operative to join a busy plant nursery team! This is a varied, practical role involving plant propagation, order preparation, and general nursery maintenance. You’ll be working both indoors and outdoors, including in polytunnels.

Key duties include:

  • Propagating plants from seed, cuttings, and division
  • Harvesting seeds and assisting with coir planting
  • Picking and packing plant orders for dispatch
  • Weeding, watering, and general plant care
  • Monitoring and reporting pests and diseases
  • Supporting irrigation and nursery upkeep
  • Operating horticultural machinery safely
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Nursery or horticulture experience is desirable (not essential)
  • Or a strong interest in horticulture/agriculture
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced nursery environment
  • Reliable, practical, and willing to learn

Hours: 07:00 – 16:00

Pay: £13.82 per hour
