Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Thetford. Due to the location, candidates must have their own transport. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a supervisory role within a busy and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the loading and unloading of lorries, ensuring goods are packaged and secured correctly
- Optimise loads for maximum space and weight efficiency
- Count, check, and sign off goods in and out
- Prioritise workloads in line with delivery and production schedules
- Liaise with Logistics, Warehouse, Sales, and Production Planning teams to ensure order accuracy
- Coordinate with delivery drivers, providing paperwork, itineraries, tools, and instructions
- Maintain security of lorries, keys, and the dispatch area
- Uphold Health & Safety standards, ensuring fire exits and workspaces are kept clear
- Assist with additional Warehouse and Production duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or supervisory experience preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
