We are looking for an experienced Software Tester to join our clients IT team and be the quality gatekeeper for new development and maintenance upgrades. The role will work with other Software Testers, the Head of IT Delivery and a Business Analyst to determine how best to translate requirements into test cases and then execute those tests ensuring any released software is the best it can be. The day-to-day role involves manual testing of legacy systems and some new automation testing, so the ideal candidate will enjoy working on both.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Demonstrable real-world experience working in automated testing techniques, ideally using Selenium, with skills to be able to set up automation from scratch when required
  • Comfortable working in manual testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise a heavy workload
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Ability to understand complex problems and break them down into logical steps
  • Ability to work well and adapt in a fluid environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Hours

Full time 37.5 hrs per week Monday-Friday
