Contract Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join our client based in Rackheath, as they seek to further expand their operations and solidify their place ahead of their competitors. As an exclusively ecommerce based business, they produce and supply high-quality raw materials direct to a range of FMCG industries. With a strong focus on continual innovation and commitment to delivering high-quality products safely, efficiently and on time, the successful candidate will take a lead in this through managing the production and warehouse operations.
This is a key leadership role, reporting directly to The Board. As Production Manager, you’ll oversee all day-to-day operations of our production and warehouse facilities. Your focus will be on fostering a positive, results-driven culture among your team.
Key responsibilities:- Lead, manage, and develop a dedicated production and warehouse team
- Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, safety, and waste reduction
- Collaborate with procurement to manage inventory and raw materials availability
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g. COSHH, risk assessments, etc…)
- Analyse production performance and report regularly to The Board
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to support smooth operations
- Identify and resolve production challenges with a hands-on and proactive approach
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of production processes, planning, and team management
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to manufacturing
- Ability to lead by example, motivate others, and build a culture of accountability and teamwork
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Competitive salary circa £45,000 per year DOE
