Contract Personnel are working alongside a busy manufacturing business who are looking for a Quality Inspector/Lead to join their growing team. The Quality Lead will work with Team Leaders to ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality objectives.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards such as ISO 9001, BS EN standards, Scope of PS24 Certification, CE markings, etc.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, processes, and finished products.
- Develop, maintain, and update quality documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
- Ensure non-conforming raw materials are isolated from stock and issues resolved.
- Collaborate with technical, production, and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are embedded in daily operations.
- Maintain accurate quality records and generate quality metrics and performance reports, presenting these to the senior management team.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality management within the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and BS EN requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to convey the requirements.
