Contract Personnel are proud to be supporting are rapidly growing retailer to recruit a General Warehouse Manager to take charge of all warehouse operations. The succcessful applicant will be responsible for running the Fakenham operation, overseeing order processing, returns processing, stock management and team recruitment/training. This is a vital role within the organisation as they continue to scale and need to ensure the warehouse operations are in safe hands. They need someone to think business first and drive down change. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee all warehouse functions: offloading, storage, picking, and dispatch • Prioritise and delegate daily workloads to ensure timely deliveries • Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing training and support • Plan staff holidays, organise overtime, and ensure cost efficiency • Maintain clear warehouse systems and ensure team adherence • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, stock accuracy, and system alignment • Conduct regular audits in line with Health & Safety and ISO procedures • Plan and oversee equipment maintenance and vehicle compliance • Address daily issues and maintain strong communication across teams Experience in similar role is essential, as is the ability to be a strong leader, who can look after a young team that expands quickly in peak season from 30 to 100 staff.
