Our client, a well-established UK electronics design and manufacturing company with a global customer base, is seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Test Engineer or Technician to join their busy test and engineering team. This company specialise in manufacturing electronics for keyboard instruments, including pipe organ technologies. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electronics testing and assembly within a supportive and flexible environment, with potential for career progression and skill development.
Location: Brandon
Hours: 15 – 25 hours per week, salary pro rata
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies to ensure quality and specification compliance
- Assess and repair returned or damaged components
- Perform final systems testing before dispatch to customers
- Support the engineering team with ongoing improvements and developments
Skills & Experience:
- Basic electronics knowledge (component identification, digital multimeter usage)
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- An interest in technical systems and willingness to learn new skills
- Music theory knowledge is a plus but not essential
- Qualifications in electronics or a related field, or currently working towards them, are desirable
