Contract Personnel are looking to recruit a CNC Miller Programmer Setter to join a market leader in CNC solutions at their central hub in Great Yarmouth.
With history dating back to the 1950’s, this company has spent decades refining its product offering of top-quality precision engineering, welding and sheet metal work, that customers keep coming back to.
How does the day-to-day look? We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision engineering and a proactive approach to quality and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Set and operate CNC milling machines with a focus on precision and efficiency
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring components are produced to tight tolerances
- Select and use appropriate cutting tools and work-holding methods for each job
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure components meet company quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Proven experience in setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Solid understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and work-holding techniques
- Competent in reading engineering drawings and working to fine tolerances
- Familiarity with FANUC controls is essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Professional, courteous, and reliable with excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Competitive salary circa £45,000 per year (plus over-time available at time and a half)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
