We are currently looking for a Temporary CNC Machinist to join our client in the NR29 area. As a CNC Milling Machinist and CNC Router, you will play a vital role in machining both solid and sheet materials with precision. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30, with a variety of machinery, including mills, lathes, drills, and small power tools, to produce top-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately machine components from technical drawings using mills, lathes, drills, and power tools.
- Machine both solid components and sheet materials.
- Operate CNC machines using DFX files to create high-precision components.
- Modify existing and prototype components as required.
- Liaise with the Engineering Design team, often machining from sketches or verbal descriptions.
- Work alongside factory operatives to create jigs that will assist in production processes.
- Assist development technicians in the assembly and testing of products when needed.
- Use initiative to determine the most efficient and cost-effective methods for machining components.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in CNC milling and CNC router operations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and DFX files accurately.
- Experience working with mills, lathes, drills, and other machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in manufacturing high-end, precision products is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with both engineering and production teams.
