We're working with a well-established European logistics business looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their busy operations team in Redditch. Operating across the UK and mainland Europe, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of transport activity while delivering outstanding service to customers.

The role:

  • Plan and coordinate daily transport movements across the UK and Europe
  • Optimise routes to maximise vehicle utilisation, efficiency, and customer service
  • Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure deliveries run smoothly
  • Respond to changing customer requirements and resolve operational issues quickly
  • Monitor transport performance and ensure service levels are maintained
  • Ensure transport activities remain compliant with relevant legislation and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate planning and transport documentation
  • Support continuous improvement across transport operations

The person:

  • Previous experience as a Transport Planner or within a transport operations environment
  • Strong geographical knowledge and planning ability
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across customers, drivers, and colleagues
  • Experience of European road freight or pan-European logistics would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Experience using transport planning or transport management systems would be advantageous
