4 Days Onsite | Flexible Working (Core Hours of 10am-3pm)

We are supporting a complex manufacturing business as they continue to establish and strengthen their standalone finance function following a period of significant change.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a broad and hands-on Management Accountant position within a lean finance team. The role will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process whilst providing meaningful financial insight and operational support to stakeholders across the business.

Working closely with operations, procurement and supply chain, you will play a key role in improving financial visibility, supporting decision-making and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close and preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and financial controls
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities
  • Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, stock, WIP and operational performance
  • Develop KPI reporting and management information to support business decision-making
  • Deliver financial analysis and modelling to support investment and improvement projects
  • Support audit, statutory reporting and tax compliance activities
  • Partner operational stakeholders to improve profitability, efficiency and working capital performance
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and processes

About You

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
  • Strong management accounting and business partnering capability
  • Experience of stock, costing and operational finance
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
  • Comfortable operating within a hands-on SME manufacturing environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
