Oxford Castle & Prison watches over the dreaming spires of the historic city of Oxford. From the heights of the Saxon St George's tower to the depths of its 900 year-old Norman crypt. Our costumed tour guides lead guests on a 1000-year journey, telling the history of this ancient site through the stories of the Castle & Prison's most infamous inhabitants; amongst them Empresses, Kings, monks and prisoners.

As a Tour Guide, you will deliver an exceptional experience ensuring all of our guests take away lasting memories. Using a mix of expert knowledge and humour, you will be hosting and delivering scripted content with an injection of your own creative flair. We are looking for people who enjoy being centre stage and bags of personality is a must.

This role will offer the right candidate the opportunity to be part of a team to have fun delivering exceptional guest experience. The role also includes assisting with private evening hire and event operations as and when required. This role brings a variety of opportunities to work Spooky tours, Murder Mysteries and Jailbreak events.

We are looking for team members with sparkle and passion, that are genuinely interested in providing high quality guest service and telling the stories of our unique attraction. A team playing attitude is a must.

Contract: Zero hour fixed term and permanent contracts available. We require team to be available to work evenings and weekends, with the opportunity to cross train into guest services and events. Number of Hours Per Week: 6 hours min (more in peak trading). Contract March – November 2026. Pay rate: £13.45 per hour.
