Location: Maidstone, Kent (covering care packages across Kent, with a base at our Maidstone Head Office)

Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with additional pay for on-call responsibilities and overtime worked.

At Continuity of Care Services, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Supervisor to support our growing complex care provision across Kent. About the role of Care Supervisor:

  • Working closely with the Care Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.
  • You will support the onboarding, training, supervision, and competency assessment of our Complex Care Assistants, ensuring they are equipped with the clinical skills and confidence needed to deliver exceptional care.
  • This is a varied role that combines supervisory responsibilities with hands-on clinical support.
  • Your 40-hour working week will include a combination of office-based duties, community visits, and clinical shifts, with flexibility required to support service needs, including alternate weekends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year experience of supporting individuals with disabilities and complex health needs including tracheostomies, ventilators, gastrostomy tubes and bowel management care.
  • QCF level 3 Health and Social Care.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and your own car is essential for this role.
  • Attend mandatory fully funded training.

What you will be doing as our Care Supervisor:

  • You will work closely with our Care Manager who will support you to oversee our clients in the Kent area.
  • You will get to know our clients' diverse complex needs and induct our Complex Care Assistants into their care package ensuring they have the required competent clinical skills through relevant training and supervision.
  • As well as supervisory duties, your schedule of 40 hours per week will include clinical shifts of varying lengths, start and finish times and you will need to be available to work alternate weekends.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Care Manager to set up care packages and introduce new staff to our clients.
  • Maintain familiarity with the complex needs of each of our clients to ensure continuity and consistency as per their care plan.
  • Supervise, shadow, manage competency assessments, conduct observations, and mentor our care assistants.
  • Work with the care coordinator to maintain shift cover within the care package team.
  • Perform clinical duties of personal care, medication administration, meal preparation and light household duties.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, shared with the wider team.
