The predicted salary is between 15 - 17 € per hour.

Location: Whitstable, Kent and surrounding area

Hourly Rate: £15.62 to £17.52 per hour

Shifts available: Part-time and flexible shifts, anything from 5 to 12 hours, days and nights available

Schedule: Flexibility to work shifts, including Monday to Friday and Weekends

Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant

  • Previous care experience is essential.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship.
  • Full UK driving licence to drive clients Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) (essential)

About the role of Complex Care Assistant

Continuity of Care Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistants to provide complex care support to our clients living with severe traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. Our clients are very active and enjoy engaging with the community. They require patient carers who can provide a high level of complex care and access the community as they love going out to country parks, cinemas and other social events. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet your clients and their family to ensure you are well-prepared for the role.

The services you will deliver as a Complex Care Assistant

The role of Complex Care Assistant is varied and depends on the needs of the individual. You will be offering companionship and emotional support to our vulnerable service users in the comfort of their own homes. Among other duties, you may be offering but not limited to:

  • Positive Behaviour Support (preferred but training will be given)
  • Accompanying on social events or shopping etc.
  • Basic household chores
  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • Moving and handling
  • PEG, Tracheostomy, Catheter and stoma care, Epilepsy care is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided

Some of our service users may have conditions such as brain injury. Former experience and awareness is preferred but training will be given otherwise.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
