Become a Complex Care Assistant in Broadstairs, Kent.
Hourly Rate: £15.62 to £17.52 per hour, with enhanced rates for BH and the festive period.
Shifts Pattern: A range of day and night shifts are available:
- Day shift: 8:00am-10:00pm
- Night shift: 9:00pm-11:00am (including sleep-in night from 10:00pm-07:00am).
Contract: Zero hours contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday and alternate weekends, according to a rota.
Continuity of Care Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Assistants to provide complex support for a male in his 30's with a spinal injury to support him with his independence. Our client requires support both in this home and to access the local community, to ensure he leads an active life. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet your client to ensure you are well-prepared for the role. As part of a dedicated care team, you will play an important role in delivering consistent, person-centred support. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to provide additional cover for annual leave and sickness when needed.
The services you will deliver as a Complex Care Assistant: The role of Complex Care Assistant is varied and depends on the needs of the individual. You will be offering companionship and emotional support to our vulnerable service users in the comfort of their own homes. Among other duties, you may be offering but not limited to:
- Complex Moving and handling
- Accompanying on social events, shopping, rehabilitation facility etc.
- Basic household chores
- Meal preparation
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Catheter Care, Bowel management, understanding of Autonomic Dysreflexia beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant:
- Previous care experience is beneficial.
- Please note you must be eligible to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- A caring, patient and genuinely compassionate person.
