Responsibilities

  • Create and manage staff rotas to ensure all care visits are covered.
  • Monitor call times and ensure carers attend calls within agreed timeframes.
  • Respond to last-minute staffing issues and arrange emergency cover.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and support staff outside office hours.
  • Attend face-to-face client assessments and reassessments when required.
  • Attend review meetings with clients, families, social workers, and other professionals when requested.
  • Provide feedback from visits to support care plan updates (care plans are completed by the management team).
  • Carry out staff competency checks and spot checks in the community.
  • Support carers to follow care plans, risk assessments, and company procedures.
  • Liaise with the office team regarding rota changes, risks, or client concerns.
  • Assist management with investigating incidents, complaints, or safeguarding concerns when requested.
  • Monitor the quality of care during visits and report any concerns to management.
  • Maintain accurate records and update the care system where required.
  • Occasionally cover care calls in emergencies or where staffing is limited.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. Participation in the on-call rota is required, which may include weekends too.

Annual Leave

28 days annual leave including bank holidays.
