We operate three amazing venues: Contini George Street offering fresh, seasonal Italian cooking, The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant providing sustainable, locally sourced meals, and Cannonball Restaurant & Bar showcasing the finest Scottish cuisine with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the City of Edinburgh for a Senior Head Chef. The Senior Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and ensuring consistent high quality and presentation. The role includes managing kitchen team, setting up work schedules, ordering and managing kitchen inventory, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. The Senior Head Chef will also collaborate with management to devise strategies for cost-effective kitchen operations while maintaining the exceptional standard of our cuisine.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in menu creation, food preparation, and presentation
  • Experience in managing kitchen team, setting schedules, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience in sustainable practices and sourcing from local suppliers is a plus
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a senior culinary role
