Join our team in Halstead, KS, and contribute to the production of high-quality products in a dynamic manufacturing environment. We are seeking motivated Production Operators who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Operate Calender Machines, Mills, and other equipment efficiently and safely. Promptly report any issues to your Department Head or Supervisor using established communication protocols.
- Material Handling: Stage materials as needed for assigned orders and operate forklifts to ensure smooth workflow and effective inventory management.
- Production Reporting: Accurately complete daily production reports, including those related to productivity, quality control holds, material usage, and material movement.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, corporate policies, and internal procedures. Seek clarification from your Department Head or Supervisor when needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively enhance your understanding of work orders, products, and processes. Participate in initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. Engage in internal and external training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating machinery and forklifts is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and follow instructions & checklists written in Standard English.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
Shift: 2nd (B), Tuesday through Friday, 3:30pm to 1:30am (10 hour shifts)
