Hoosier Racing Tire in Plymouth, IN is seeking an Environmental, Safety, and Health Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Ensure Compliance: Develop, update, and maintain internal procedures, policies, and risk assessments to meet ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, and DHEC requirements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Conduct systematic monitoring, Gemba walks, and audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure conformity.
- Lead Environmental Initiatives: Manage waste reduction programs, hazardous materials compliance, and contractor performance to achieve long-term sustainability goals.
- Support Training & Awareness: Create and deliver training materials, maintain qualification records, and lead safety awareness campaigns for all employees.
- Incident & Emergency Management: Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and coordinate crisis management training and drills to ensure readiness.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate reporting in systems like SoFi, track KPIs such as Non-Tire Waste, and ensure timely submission of regulatory data.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Participate in budget planning, internal projects, and cross-functional meetings to align ESH objectives with business goals.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a leadership role.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification – Required or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification – Required or ability to obtain within the first 180 days of employment.
- Certified CPR Instructor – Required or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional work outside normal business hours and beyond the standard 40-hour work week as business needs require.
