Hoosier Racing Tire in Plymouth, IN is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our growing Maintenance Team. This role is responsible for systematic troubleshooting, efficient diagnosis, and sustainable quality repairs to ensure the safe and reliable operation of production equipment.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Diagnose and repair AC/DC control systems, motors, drives, PLCs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment using tools such as digital multimeters, schematics, and diagnostic software.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical fabrication including welding, sheet metal work, and maintenance of piping, transformers, and lighting systems.
- Accurately document repair work and time using SAP/PUMA, and provide detailed fault and repair feedback for structured analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support efficient, continuous plant operations.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures (LOTO, PPE), keep a clean and organized workspace, and be available for overtime and vacancy coverage.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Associate degree or certificate in an electrical field preferred, or 1.5+ years of experience in electrical work (technical proficiency test required if no degree held).
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, analog I/O, AC/DC drives, servo systems, and strong computer literacy (Microsoft Windows applications).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship or relocation available for this role.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to work safely and professionally in a fast-paced production environment.
