- Installer Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment for installation at accounts and does all installations and removals for current and new accounts.
- Works with Managers and customers to determine the best course of action to install or remove equipment.
- Install team drives to locations throughout region.
- Responsible for moving equipment from warehouse to customer site or the reverse using proper handling equipment.
- Unload and clean trash from delivery vehicle, perform daily vehicle operative checks, report vehicle problems to the proper parties, secure keys and vehicle.
- Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for equipment repair, installation and/or removal.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
- Test and fill machines to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Installer Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of finished carpentry, millwork installation, electrical connections, plumbing connections, and IT connections.
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; including basic CAD drawings with measurements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Location & Logistics
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and push or pull up to 700 pounds aided by heavy equipment.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
- Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk or radiation; and vibration.
