Contigo Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading NHS Trust to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Cardiology on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for an experienced cardiologist looking to join a dynamic team in a modern facility committed to excellence in patient care and professional development. The department is moving toward 24/7 Cardiology on-call, providing an opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative cardiology service.
Salary: Negotiable Salary, dependent on experience.
Benefits: Relocation Package up to £20,000, dependent on criteria.
Essential Criteria:
- GMC full registration & licence (MRCP)
- On or within 6 months of GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology (or expected CESR approval)
- Demonstrate independent clinical experience and skill in Cardiology at Consultant level
- Ability to work 10 PAs
- Participation in Cardiology weekend service (1:7)
Desirable Criteria:
- Interest in General Cardiology, imaging, heart failure
- Supervisory experience for SpRs/specialist trainees
- Special interest in Echocardiography, stress echo, or other imaging modalities
Working Hours / On-Call: Currently no interventional cardiology support. On-call structure forthcoming (24/7 Cardiology).
CV Requirements: Must show experience & competencies for Cardiology at Consultant level.
Additional Notes: Shortlisted candidates must attend a Technical Specification Panel (virtual possible) and an Advisory Appointment Committee (in person). Department cannot support interventional cardiology at this time.
