We are recruiting on behalf of a leading data centre provider for a Control Room Shift Engineer to join their high-performing team at a state-of-the-art facility in Farnborough. This role offers the opportunity to work within a mission-critical environment, supporting the smooth operation of advanced engineering systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and other control platforms.
- Respond to alarms and faults in real-time, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of critical engineering infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports in line with operational procedures.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities in collaboration with engineering teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Recognised Level 3 or above qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services.
- Membership of a professional engineering institution (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE, IET) is desirable.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in critical building engineering services.
- Extensive experience working with BMS, EMS, and CAFM systems.
- Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and for SC Clearance.
