We are particularly interested in individuals who would like to pursue a career in sales who can work with our DACH customer base on a fluent German level.
About The Opportunity
This position is one of the first touchâpoints that our customers and potential prospects will have with the Contentful brand. It requires an organized, motivated individual to research and understand the marketplace as well as how Contentful can help organizations drive digital transformation and bestâinâclass customer experiences. As an Enterprise Business Development Representative, you will gain experience interacting with customers of all levels across a variety of industries. You will work closely with assigned Regional Sales Executives and supporting teams to hunt new business.
Part of this unique opportunity includes attending our Contentful training program. This program focuses on developing highly skilled professionals within our organization and is a multiâstep learning and skill development program that gives more responsibility and earning potential.
Note: this is an onsite role; our offices are based in Central London.
What to Expect?
Gain in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, and Contentful\âs solution offering
Effectively manage campaigns and reach out to new prospects
Lead generation activities including strategic research on LinkedIn, hunting tools, outbound prospecting, calling, emailing, and social outreach
Send weekly activity reports to sales leadership
Collaborate with assigned Account Executives, handing off qualified prospects
Educate AEs on complete qualification meeting details (SLAs)
Successfully meet or exceed opportunity and pipeline targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Build relationships with decisionâmakers and key executives in all industries and verticals
What You Need to Be Successful?
1â2 years of work experience preferred; and previous SDR/BDR experience is highly advantageous
1â2 years experience in a quotaâcarrying/ performanceâoriented role, or
1â2 years experience with outbound customer prospecting
Language fluency in English and one additional European language (German, French, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, Italian, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Seeks to understand the customer\âs needs, objectives, and challenges
Ability to proactively qualify customer needs
Ability to understand the business opportunity and articulate it to the AE team by understanding the prospect\âs use case and how Contentful fits into the customer\âs goals
Ability to build rapport with prospects, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Selfâstarter, doesn\ât wait for things to happen but proactively takes action to move the conversation forward
Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
Ability to follow set processes, update systems diligently, and suggest improvements where required
Detailâoriented and data driven
Ability to work with standard software such as Salesforce
Interest in technology and willingness to learn about Contentful\âs solutions
